Our Story
At Homeroom Tattoo, we believe tattoos are moments of self-expression, acts of healing, and declarations of identity. We are a queer-owned studio in South San Jose, built on the idea that getting tattooed should be a safe, comfortable, and affirming experience for everyone — no matter your background, identity, or experience level.
Homeroom started with a simple goal: to create a space that feels like home. Our team of resident artists come from diverse backgrounds and specialize in styles ranging from fine line and whimsical designs to bold anime and pop culture-inspired pieces. But beyond the tattoos, it's the connections we build that make this space special.

Before You Book
Each artist has their own personal booking form on their individual artist page. If you can't decide on an artist, submit a general inquiry at the bottom of the Artists page — but keep in mind the turnaround will be slower than booking directly.
Every artist charges a different rate, listed on their personal booking form. The shop minimum is $100, reserved for tattoos that take around 10 minutes.
Yes. Deposit amounts vary by artist and are nonrefundable — they go toward the total cost of your tattoo. Be prepared to send your deposit immediately to secure your date.
It depends. We usually have 1–2 artists in each day, but they may already be booked or tattooing a walk-in. For a guaranteed spot, book an appointment.
You must be at least 18 years old. Per California Health and Safety Code HSC § 119302, no exceptions — not even with parental consent.
Yes, but please notify your artist at least 48 hours in advance. Failure to do so forfeits your deposit and a new one must be placed to reschedule.
Sometimes! Homeroom hosts flash events with discounted preprinted designs. Individual artists also run their own deals — check their Instagram pages for current offers.
Remove immediately if: liquids leak out, bandage peels up, or redness/irritation appears.

We're at 7034 Santa Teresa Blvd in South San Jose. Street parking is available in front of the building. If the front is full, there's additional parking behind — just be mindful of spacing since there are no dividing lines.
